Update: the import brew casualty list gets *shorter* for once

A while ago, I lamented the lack of availability of both Mackeson Triple Stout and McEwan's Scotch Ale, apparently due to some distribution dust-up similar to Bell's previous problems in Illinois.

First, the bad news: Binny's still doesn't stock Mackeson.

The good news is that McEwan's has returned.

Another screwball with bizarre ideas and the prerequisite money to back them up has gone bye-bye, according to PZ Myers, among others.

And since we're on the subject of tightly controlled, dogmatic groups led by a small, insular central command structure devoted to a paralogical belief system (read:  c*lts), here's a link to Nightline's piece on the First Church of Appliantology. I only got to see a portion of it, but it was still tres creepy, to say the least.

Some people choosing to harass Michael Weinstein and the soldiers he's represented (such as Specialist Jeremy Hall or certain Air Force Academy students mentioned here, including one of his own sons) might want to think twice when dropping a burning dog turd of an email on certain doorsteps in the name of God.
