You have got to be kidding me.

I'm only going to say this once; the only difference between creationists of different faiths seems to be that they're different brand names of stupid, not different types.

I disagree. Creationists are smart. They're able to come up with lots of logical-ish reasons that they're right.

Unless you're saying it's a stupid idea, then I'm on board.

Not quite: they're able to come up with *supposedly* logical reasons that they're right - until you get down to the actual science and start looking too closely at the pretzel logic they employ when backed into a corner about their assertions. Then they're not.

I just find it incredibly galling that these bozos (especially through one of their Turkish representatives, "Harun Yahya", in this case) are willing to use every demagogic trick in the book to demonize their opponents and then turn around and accuse biologists and paleontologists of trying to persecute (!) *them*. I've read that sort of claptrap on usenet on talk.origins and sci.skeptic for years and am still amazed at the sheer audacity of that crap.
