Nothing here as blatant as the TFN page I quoted below, but it seems that James Randi seems to have found a new winner of the "elected officials with oddly skewed views on science" in Gary Goodyear.

Ah, Canada. They usually don't give us yo-yos of such high quality this, but they did give us Stockwell Day so I suppose that they're finally looking to export quotes by such strange people more regularly.

I remember perusing a copy of _Macleans_ a few years ago where snarky columnist Alan Fothoringham (sp.?) ripped Day a new, wider one just on the subject of believing that dinosaurs and humans coexisted a la _The Flinstones_ *alone*. I'm sure he brought up some other worthy nonsense from SD, but that image just stuck in my mind.
