In Memoriam: Jeanne Robinson, 1948-2010

Sometimes, the news you get after a holiday makes having to go back to work seem incredibly insignificant  in comparison.

I'd rather not have my page littered with obituaries, but it seems that including hers is more than appropriate due both to their fannish relevance and the fact that she and Spider Robinson were supposed to make it to last February's Capricon but couldn't due to her health. (They were able to participate in the Cap opening ceremonies via teleconferencing, though, and I'd greatly appreciate it if someone posted a link - if any exists - to the video footage. Thanks in advance.)

..but I can't repeat it since I'm not sure if LiveJournal's management takes great umbrage at the use of Naughty, Naughty Words in the subject: line.

Anyways, he details the latest dross from issuing forth from the lips of the USS Fatcrack.

(Obligatory snarky comment: anyone care to wager when the Fatcrack keels over from a probable combination of Oxycontin and Viagra abuse, yo-yo dieting and the fact that $40,000,000 a year still won't save you from the vices you can indulge in with that sort of money? My guess is within the next three years or so)
