If the U.S. military is going to be transformed into just another tool of twisted social engineering, rather than a force designed to defend America's national security interests, dedicated, brave and upstanding young men and women should no longer participate of their own free will. It's just that simple. Let the politicians cobble together a military of social deviants if they think they can.
Uh, Joe...Joe? Hate to tell you this, but the current US armed forces is something called a volunteer military organization. That effectively means that every single one of those soldiers is serving of their own free will, unless a judge gave them a choice between joining up and doing time (an option that's fairly common with some judges, from what I can remember). For that matter, how in the hell do you "boycott" something you can't buy, listen to or watch?
Feel free to read all of Ed Brayton's piece on this; Ed's statement concerning the reasoning behind such politically motivated "boycotts" does bear repeating, however:
It's a funny thing about the religious right, though. They love to wrap themselves in the flag and declare anyone who disagrees with them to be a traitor. Yet when the military dares to think that people they disapprove of have the same rights they do, they throw a fit. The last time this happened was during the faux outrage over Wiccans in the military. Paul Weyrich, co-founder of both the Heritage Foundation and the Moral Majority, called for a boycott of the military until they banned Wiccans from serving. Yet they still love to pose as patriots.
Well, yeah. Of course they do. Wrapping yourself in the flag is one of the easiest ways of covering up the fact that the Emperor is sans proper clothes.

It never fails. Champion-class wingnut Joe Farah (of WorldNet Daily fame) loses big on an issue - this time, the repeal of DADT - and a veritable fountain of lunacy issues forth from in response from his hot li'l keyboard:
