To quote Craig Ferguson, "I look forward to your emails and letters".

I'm in total agreement with PZ Myers on the Toledo Archdiocese's ridiculous position barring funding for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, especially since what it all seems to be about is (A) the future (that's right, not current) possibility of their advocacy of stem cell research in the fight against breast cancer and (B) the possibility that they might also give money to Planned Parenthood in the future even though the Toledo Blade article clearly states that "the local Komen affiliate has never given a dollar to Planned Parenthood". In other words, let's punish an organization now for medical research or policy positions it hasn't yet advocated and in fact may not do so in the future.

Feel free to insert an uncensored obscenity on my behalf here.

British Prime Minister David Cameron, it seems, was a man entirely in favor of not looking down in order to avoid stepping in the brown squishy stuff when it comes to his friends in the press now that it's been revealed that he met with News Corp reps 26 times since he became Prime Minister.

Some of the media atrocities (including the fact that one phone-hacking target was a 2002 murder victim and another was wrongfully accused of being a murderer himself, among others) are documented in this list of notable players in this mess and an equally helpful Q&A/FAQ.

Meanwhile, on this side of the pond, uh oh.

No matter what you think of the guy, Rick Reilly getting neutered by his bosses at a media outlet in direct competition with the guy he all too appropriately badmouthed seems a bit...gutless, somehow.

Welcome to the nation of Wussistan, ESPN(ot capable of a single courageous anything, apparently).
