It seems that among other wacky things she's asserted and/or indulged in in the past, Christine O'Donnell recalls wars the US armed forces never fought in:
"When we were fighting the Soviets over there in Afghanistan in the 80s and 90s, we did not finish the job, so now we have a responsibility to finish the job and if you are gonna make these politically correct statements that it's costing us too much money, you are threatening the security of our homeland."
Possible explanations for the above statement include:
1) Christine O'Donnell is tacitly admitting that she's an Afghan;
2) Christine O'Donnell is woefully ignorant of recent history;
3) Somebody is dosing Christine with a stupidity drug;
4) Somebody is dosing us with a powerful hallucinogen.
I'll go with (2), even though all of the rest of those possibilities are a lot less sickening to contemplate, considering that an actual nominee for the Senate from a major political party voiced it.
