This isn't good, and smells quite a bit like the nonsense Bobby "where's yer volcanic research nooooow?" Jindal signed in Lousiana, but at least some faculty out there in the Hawkeye State have taken it upon themselves to fight it.

Update: According to Tara C. Smith's blog Aetiology, this bill is quite dead, thank you very much. It was croaked in subcommitee at the end of February, although the original link didn't make that clear.
