the_archfiendIt's not exactly surprising that the former recipient of the Hustler magazine Asshole of the Month award would stoop to gibbering and drooling in public like all the rest of the goofs running for the GOP Presidential nomination, but you've got to admire his complete obliviousness to the shit he steps in as a result. His apparent belief that kids are potential shiftless street urchins who need to start sweeping chimneys immediately was a humdinger, to be sure, but his apparent position that judges are tools of state ideology and not this strange concept called "law" seems to go right past turning the concept of "judicial restraint" on its head in favor of making it spin there like a 1985-worthy breakdancing move..
Oddly enough, the newly discovered moral fiber of Yet Another Self-Perceived Washington Outsider (aren't they all these days?) who lobbied for Freddie Mac (getting paid very, very significant money for the job, of course) and was quite the beltway insider when he got clobbered for his role in the House financial scandal of 1997 never really gets questioned by the media these days. Maybe they're just waiting for Larry Flynt to bring it up.
