Texas: Ebert gives a thumbs down on The Stupid

Kudos to Dave Kovarik for pointing this out to me: Roger Ebert hands the Texas State Board of Ed a beatdown, not that Jon Stewart missed out on the fun, either.

Rockin' the Pig

The James Randi Educational Foundation has issued their 2009 Pigasus Awards, and - unsurprisingly - one of the recipients was none other than Dr. Mehmet Oz, primarily for the same reasons that I referenced  earlier.

It seems that the UK Parliament's Science and Technology Committee has made a decision on the hacked email controversy concerning Professor Phil Jones and the University of East Anglia; namely, it's mostly a load of nuthin'.
