My apologies to the Rolling Stones for the Subject: line, but ever since Kommandant B(achmann) rolled up her kook tent and went home, someone needed to appeal to the increasingly clerico-fascist "religious conservative" wing of the GOP. These days, it's apparently Senator Froth, judging by any number of bizarre statements he's made in the past and some more contemporary statements (on, for example, the subject of individual rights and birth control) that mark him as this year's version of Alan Keyes, albeit with a far more plastic-looking countenance than Tinfoil Hat Man could ever be accused of having.
Just out of curiosity, when did the definition of "conservative Republican" change from something reminiscent of Barry Goldwater to something far more reminiscent of supporters of the Republic of Gilead from Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale?
