To him and the rest of the 1303rd Engineer General Service Regiment (which later evolved into the current 130th Engineer Brigade, currently based in Hawaii) that saw service in both the European and Pacific theaters during World War 2, I can only say one word that won't come off as either pompous or uncomfortably sentimental:
