This is going to sadly confirm my age somewhat, but I can remember him playing on the Bulls when I was a mere overgrown fetus back when (1) they were a winning team in the early 70's and (2) when they were stuck on...what?A pre-Telemundo, pre-pay per view Channel 44, of all places? He was a pretty damn entertaining sports commentator later on, of course, but I wish I had more than just vague memories of him playing alongside the likes of Sloan, Love, Walker and the rest. He'll be missed.
