Somebody might want to get around to reminding certain chuckleheads like Peter King and Newt Gingrich that the First Amendment reads like this:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
and not the fantasy version in their heads that adds "unless we don't like the type of religion or free speech that's being exercised". They seem to have a real problem understanding that issue as it relates to a certain building in lower Manhattan - not that it's based on any sort of cynical political calculations at all.
