A few days ago, I posted a rant excoriating the thoroughly worthless Reverend Terry Jones, his threat to publically burns copies of the Koran and his equally bizarre reasons as to why he was cancelling said "activity". But wait! He actually went on the radio with Thom Hartmann and stuck his foot in his mouth even deeper than before:

Thom Hartmann: And you don’t have a response to my suggestion that you are doing Osama Bin Laden’s work for him by riling up and putting our soldiers at risk by riling up the Muslim world?

Terry Jones: We definitely feel that we are not doing his work, I can respond to that. That has to do with what we’re doing right now. We definitely, we definitely feel that we are not doing that, just the opposite. We are revealing the radicalness of Islam. I believe we are pointing the finger at the wrong person and I don’t know why we do that in America. If violence comes out of this it’s because it’s the nature of Islam. It is their violent nature. And possibly not as many people are against us as you think. We get e-mails, we got a phone call yesterday from a retired green beret…

Wonderful. Simply wonderful. Not only does Jones continue to conflate radical Islamicists with all Muslims, but he does it such a way that a round of "Blame the Victim" and "The Lurkers Support Me in Email" both get played in this same challenge round of "Spot the Looney". Fan-freaking-tastic.

Has it ever been pointed out to Jones that the primary victims of most terroristic acts by Islamic extremists outside of the United States are fellow Muslims? Is he capable of even understanding that fact?

Unfortunately, the copycat idiots are also starting to crawl out of the woodwork: not just in places like East Lansing but in places far too close to where I live for my liking.
