Great timing, Carl
Oct. 12th, 2010 06:17 pmCarl Paladino is turning out to be a fun guy, to say the least.
As the Teabagger-leaning GOP candidate for Governor of New York, he's been all sorts of fun lately; first, there was his threat against a reporter (from the Rupert Murdoch-owned New York Post, of all papers) that was reinforced by his aides chiming in with some drivel concerning how that reporter had put Paladino's family "in harm's way"; a few days later, Paladino continued to head south with a fusillade of homophobic comments (including this whopper) at a campaign appearance.
What makes all of this especially unfortunate is that these comments occurred right around the time that a sickening gay-bashing incident in the Bronx (warning: details in the Times article get fairly graphic) occurred.
What's even more unfortunate is that like most demagogic pols these days, Paladino's learning curve is entirely flat.
