Just when you thought that the "Campbell's Soup is Islamist! And Canadian!" nonsense was bad enough, Ed Brayton points out a helpful fact about a "rumor" (translation: pile of screed) concerning President 44's alleged father that was spread by Pamela Geller:
(Radley) Balko points out something I did not know, that the source of the idiotic claim that Malcolm X is Barack Obama's real father is none other than Pamela "Sarah Palin didn't quit, the lower 48 needed her and she answered the call" Geller. She printed a breathlessly moronic email from one of her readers making that very claim without bothering to point out how stupid it was.
"Breathlessly moronic" is a much nicer set of words than I would've used; I've known that taking goofy innuendos spread via email at face value is a really, really stupid thing to do since I started using email in the early 90's, but apparently such caution is entirely lost on Geller. In other words, Teh Big Stoopid triumphs yet again.
